Kips Wood Shop
Kip’s Wood Shop builds wooden playing card holders from hand-selected pine or fir—clean slots, stable bases, and smooth edges for faster, tidier game nights.
Every piece starts with kiln-dried, hand-selected pine or fir, planed true, joined clean, and finished so it feels good in the hand. Our flagship wooden playing card holder uses precise slot geometry and a stable footprint to keep the table organized and the pace up.
What to expect: clean joinery, eased corners, and a durable hand-rubbed shellac finish (leveled and buffed). Wood grain is matched so sets look like they belong together. Hardware stays invisible, bottoms are sanded flat, and tolerances stay tight—because details matter when the table’s full.
Who it’s for: card players, board-gamers, and hosts who want tidy tables and zero fumble time. Great for families (small hands), seniors (less strain), and anyone who sleeves cards and wants a holder that won’t topple. Sets line up neatly; a single “master unit” anchors the spread.
Materials & build: kiln-dried pine or fir, routed and beveled with consistent slot depth and angle; three slots with ~0.25″ rise per row for visibility and comfort. Corners eased; surfaces sealed and burnished. Undersides get the same attention as tops—no shortcuts.
Care: wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth; avoid soaking. A light pass of paste wax once or twice a year keeps the glide perfect.
